The Australian Council on Healthcare Standards (ACHS)

ACHS is an independent, not-for-profit organisation, dedicated to improving the quality of health care in Australia. ACHS was established in 1974 and is the leading independent authority on the measurement and implementation of quality improvement systems for Australian health care organisations.  Healthcare follows the ACHS quality improvement system as a process for continuous improvement and successfully underwent a periodic review in March 2010, meeting all mandatory requirements and exceeding expectations in infection control
